An Associate Editor at Punch Newspaper, Eniola Akinkuotu has taken to his social media page to disclose the outcome of the inquiries he made in regards to Bola Tinubu’ s Education few months ago. He made it known that Tinubu attended Chicago State University. Eniola disclosed that the school affirmed to the fact that Tinubu is truly a graduate.

The reply Editor Eniola got from Chicago State University reads as follows; ” Please be advised that Bola A. Tinubu did indeed attend Chicago State University from August 1977 through June 1979. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Administration with Honors on June 22, 1979. His major was Accounting. ”

In the same vein, Eniola went further to share a screenshot of the correspondence between him and the office of the school’ s registrar, which still confirms that Tinubu is a graduate of the aforementioned University. However, Eniola acknowledged that Tinubu’ s primary and secondary education are still controversial.

His words, ” This is also a correspondence between me and the Office of the registrar at Chicago State University confirming Tinubu’ s claim. The ones that are actually controversial are his primary and secondary school records which he cleverly omitted in his latest INEC Form CF001, ” he tweeted.

Moments after this tweet went viral on social media, some Twitter users who came across it quickly rushed down to the comment section to oppose Eniola’ s statement, while some others were in support of the notion.

One Twitter user who had doubts about the verifications that were made, curiously questioned Eniola to explain how someone without primary and secondary school certificates could attend the university.

Meanwhile, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has told the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that his certificates were looted by unknown persons while he was on self-exile.

According to a report, Tinubu in his sworn affidavit in support of his nomination form, said he “went on self-exile from October 1994 to October 1999 (and) when I returned and discovered that my property including all the documents relating to my qualification and my certificates in respect of paragraph 3 above were looted by unknown persons.”

The candidate skipped information regarding his primary and secondary education but said he attended the University of Chicago between 1972 and 1976 where he obtained a B.Sc in Economics.
