How ISWAP Terrorists Fled, Abandoned Their Abductees on Sighting Military’s Super Tukano Jets

Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) Terrorist group took to their heels after sighting the Nigerian Military Air fighter jets in the North East, Nigeria.
RegentAfrica learnt that, at least seven Security operatives that were abducted by ISWAP terrorists in the early hours of Saturday in the North Eastern Gubio local government area of Borno state, escaped when their abductors escaped into the thick forest.
A Police sources had earlier told Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad how the security men were attacked and abducted at the Rural Urban Migration Site(RUGA), at Pompom Baliya village located about 5 kilometers to Gubio and carted away with hilux patrol vehicle.
The sources said that that the gallant troops of 5 Brigade Operation Hadin Kai, Gubio backed by the Air Task Force(ATF) Super Tukano, had chased the fleeing terrorists who ran towards the axis of Gadai village, Nganzai Local Government area.
An Intelligence Officer told Zagazola that the terrorist held the victims in captivity but on sighting the arrival of the Super Tukano, they immediately abandoned them and scampered into the bush.
“It was at that moment that that victims also ran towards a separate direction and escaped from the captivity of the terrorists,”he said.
He said that the security operatives, six in numbers, are safe and some have returned back to Gubio town while one other was on his way back.
“They include 1 police man, 3 Civilian Joint Task Force and 2 hunters,” he said.
