OPINION: Obasa And His Hiding Plans

By Anonymous

Lagos politics is yet to see the last attempt at displacing the supremacy of the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The latest attempt rumoured to be finding footing is coming from the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.

The allegation is that the Speaker is attempting to put together a cult of loyalist across the state. The game plan is to get former legislators into the Executive offices of Local Government Chairmen by influencing the process of selection. It is believed that this move will go a long way towards the actualization of his ambition to represent Lagos West in the Senate.

A party faithful who requested to remain anonymous said, “Do you think the suspension of the LG Chairmen were simply smoke without fire? The act was to give room for his candidates to have free passage to the offices of the Chairmen in those councils respectively.” He alleged.

From Fashola, Aregbesola, Ambode and now Obasa, one would ask the question how much is expected of Asiwaju to make his protégés loyal to his vision and keep fate with his style of leadership?
