PNC 2022 Set to Deliberate On The Development Of  Nigerian Content In The Coming 12 Months

Posted by RegentAfrica Times, 3 August 2022

It has been twelve years on from the enactment of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act (NOGICD Act), and the Practical Nigerian Content Forum (PNCq) has since created a platform for stakeholders to discuss regulations and explore opportunities in the energy sector, while also showcasing the capacity developed in the country.

Between 2016 – 2020 the NOGICD Act has helped save $8.5 billion by achieving 42% local content in oil and gas projects worth $20.4 billion as the industry continues to strive to achieve Nigerian Content performance of 70% by 2027.

According to the organiser, dmg Events Nigeria, this year’s PNC will look at how to further harness opportunities and deepen Nigerian Content with the seven (7) ministerial regulations which are designed to provide a proper framework for monitoring the implementation of the NOGICD Act.

The 2022 event is scheduled for 5- 8 December 2022, at the NCDMB Headquarters, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
